Cherry blossoms bloom en masse in Japan throughout the month of April and symbolize the Japanese term 'Mono no aware' or the awareness of impermanence. The blossoms are beautiful and brief, only lasting a few weeks. This tea is a blend of the cherry flavour of the fruit of the trees in combination of rose to represent the blossoms of the cherry. It is all based on a spring Sencha leaf.
This tea is a balance of tart cherry a hint of sweetness of berry and fragrant rose petals. Just like the cherry blossoms, this Japanese Sencha only needs a brief steeping, as the optimal flavour is reached at about 1 minute. The tea allows for only 2 infusions before the flavour is exhausted from the leaves.
