Dejiang Longzhu / Dejiang Dragon Pearls
Dejiang Longzhu / Dejiang Dragon Pearls
돠쉭질瀧 (Déjiāng lóngzhū) Dejiang Dragon Pearls
This tea is new tea created by Mr Qi. The tea is made from the Fuding Da Bai “Big White” cultivar used in many traditional white teas. This tea is from a garden project that is using young tea plants for this tea, now about 8 years old. The garden is perched at 1,200 meters above sea level in eastern Guizhou, in China.
Longzhu translates as Dragon Pearl in tea lexicon. This tea is not rolled like other dragon pearl, that uses larger leaves to make a sphere, but young shoots strewn with buds rolled into small pearls. The leaves open to showcase perfectly picked two leaves and bud. The infusion is bold, and frankly vegetable liquor, evoking the taste of snow peas.
