Backyard Party
Backyard Party
Grab a glass and pull up a lawn chair! Juicy peach, ripe apricot, and bright bergamot come together in this refreshing black iced tea made for sunny afternoons, backyard gatherings, and good company. Best served ice cold with a touch of sugar.
Blender’s Note
This year, Bent Stick Brewing approached me looking for a tea that could serve as the foundation for a premium hard iced tea. Their goal was simple: create something better than the mass-produced hard iced teas available in Edmonton.
I was inspired by one of the most popular tea cocktails served at The Tea Girl Tea House: Earl Grey tea, peach schnapps, gin, and a squeeze of lemon. Together, we saw the potential to create a full-flavoured tea base that could pair beautifully with any spirit, without relying on imported schnapps for flavour.
Using a smooth black base, I blended juicy peach & apricot, and bright bergamot to capture the spirit of the original cocktail in the tea itself. The result is a refreshing iced tea that’s equally enjoyable on its own or mixed with your favourite spirit.
This summer, you can even try a cocktail featuring this tea at Bent Stick Brewing!
Ingredients: black tea, freeze dried peach, orange blossom, flavour.
