玄米茶 (Genmai cha) Brown Rice Tea

A tea made in the tradition of a classic Japanese tea; Pan fired Sencha style tea leaves blended with toasted rice. This type of tea was originally drunk by poor Japanese, as the rice served as a filler and reduced the price of the tea; which is why it is also known as the "people's tea." The rice gives a pleasant roasted taste to the tea.
