铁 观音 (Tiě guānyīn) Iron Goddess of Mercy
Legendary rolled oolong from Fujian (China), Tie Guanyin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) is one of the country's best representatives. Its sharp, sweet taste and its characteristic flowery aromas (lilacs and lilies) made it a favorite both East and West. This particularly aromatic harvest comes from M. Zhang Guo Hua's gardens, in the mountainous region of Anxi. Grown in altitude, his tea bursts with intensity.
The name literally translates to the Iron Statue of the Guanyin, who is a Chinese religious being: the goddess of mercy in Taoism and bodhisattva in Buddhism
Other spellings and names include"Ti Guan Yin", "Tie Guan Yin", "Ti Kuan Yin", "Tit Kwun Yum", "Ti Kwan Yin", "Iron Buddha", "Iron Goddess Oolong", and "Tea of the Iron Bodhisattva".
