Shangri-La White - Nepal (org)

This tea is produced in the Himalayas in Ilam district of Nepal, close to the Indian border. Shangri-La is a tea garden that is nourished by pure water from the Himalayas and grown free of pesticides by small farmers that own their own land. The leaves of this tea are picked from the terminal bud, and allowed to air dry which finishes to a mottled look.

The infusion is a yellow straw-hued liquor with honeyed pine and dried stone fruit flavours. Its has aromatic notes of wildflowers, muscat grape, and clover, accented by subtle notes of nasturtium and barley. It is a wonderful option for an afternoon cup of tea. The leaves of well made white teas like this can handle high heat and long steeping times, and will give multiple infusions.
