Studio Jien Chawan

Designed by emerging ceramic pottery artist Jien Ang from Edmonton, these Studio Jien Chawan bowls draw inspiration from traditional Japanese teaware. Featuring natural colour glazing and a deeper brown clay, Jien discusses how his style has evolved over the past year. He has found joy in creating smaller, heavier feeling vessels with a gentle curved base and small footing. These bowls are perfect for those looking for a unique chawan that can be easily held in one hand and is ideal for enjoying a single serving of Matcha.
